THE SHOWHOUSE & GARDENS
A spectacular David Adler estate
has been chosen as the
2013 Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens.
The early 20th-century architect David Adler was responsible for many grand estates, but perhaps none was so well executed as this Italianate mansion on the shores of Lake Michigan. David Adler planned the sunken gardens overlooking Lake Michigan in collaboration with Illinois landscape architect Ralph Rodney Root. It is said that this is one of Adler’s grandest gardens.

A diverse group of leading landscape and interior designers, including
Bravo’s “Top Design” winner Matt Lorenz, Michael Del Piero, Summer Thornton,
