During Charlotte Moss’ twenty-five year career as an interior designer, she has become a trusted voice on achieving a discerning elegance that is at the same time comfortable and informed. It was in 1985 that Charlotte left an executive position on Wall Street to follow her true passion and join the world of luxurious interiors. Soon after its founding, Charlotte Moss and Company, a home furnishings store and interior design firm on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, became an authority on lifestyle and home décor. Throughout her career, Charlotte has worked on interior design projects for private clients and has participated in numerous designer showhouses. In addition, Moss has written six books, with her seventh title, Charlotte Moss Decorates: The Art of Creating Inspired Rooms, due in the April of 2011. While Charlotte draws her inspiration from her extensive travels, avid reading and the legacies of great women of style, she attributes her southern heritage as the most significant contributor to her own personal style.
Charlotte Moss has designed collections of china for Pickard, fabrics and trims for Fabricut (due in the Fall of 2011), fabrics and wallcoverings for Brunschwig & Fils, carpet for Stark, decorative enamels for Halcyon Days and home fragrances for Agraria, among others. Her website, www.CharlotteMoss.com, contains Charlotte’s two blogs, Tête-à-Tête and C’est Inspiré.
