LAKE FOREST, IL – March 11, 2013 -- The Lake Forest Chapter of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago’s 15th biennial Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens features over 30 top interior and landscape designers and architects. Taking place at a famous 1916 David Adler lakefront estate in Lake Forest, IL, the Italian Renaissance style six-bedroom, 15,000-square-foot villa features many rooms for designers to make their mark, as well as a striking landscape with an intricately pebbled courtyard, a sunken garden and grounds originally designed by Ralph Rodney Root.  Following the house’s opening on April 27, two events will take place, one exploring the work of David Adler and the history of the estate on April 28,  and a second featuring HGTV’s Monica Pedersen discussing entertaining ideas from her new book Make it Beautiful on May 1.

Widely recognized as one of the top showhouses in the country, The Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens has raised more than $2.75 million to date.
